USSC Group which includes USSC LLC, 4ONE LLC and Global Seating LLC (GSS) expanded into the vehicle manufacturing and adventure tourism business when it acquired the assets of Wide Open Adventures of Irvine CA.

President Christian Hammarskjold notes “As a long time Wide Open client, I have raced and toured with Wide Open up and down the Baja peninsula over the last 12 years. I have always been impressed with the vehicles design, especially in regards to its durability and reliability. The addition of Wide Open expands us beyond our core business into new areas. We will build upon our businesses and competencies in the commercial and military markets. With our move to our new 135,000 square foot building, we had lots of available capacity”

USSC Group consists of three companies focused on Seating and Occupant Protection. USSC LLC makes driver seats for commercial markets. 4ONE LLC, a joint venture between USSC and Freedman Seating Company, focuses on passenger seating. Global Seating Systems LLC (GSS) provides seating solutions for many Army and USMC vehicle platforms.

In buying the assets of Wide Open Adventures, USSC has split Wide Open into two companies. Wide Open Excursions (WOE) focuses on race and tour operations as well as managing its Horse Power Ranch in Ensenada Mexico. Wide Open Industries (WOI) focuses on vehicle manufacturing for the private, commercial, industrial and military markets.
