Testing

While many seats address the vertical impacts, they fail to address the other dynamic forces experienced in a military theatre. Seats must meet the FMVSS requirements; few do. GSS tests its seats to the following standards and/or criteria:
- X axis (frontal and rear impacts): FMVSS 207, 208, 210
- Y axis (lateral impacts):
- Z axis (vertical impacts): Classified (call GSS for more information)
- V (vibration): ISO, ANSI
- R axis (rollovers): belt egress, head excursion
- Other: FMVSS 201,202, 209, 302
GSS offers full in-house testing and FMVSS validation services. Seats are tested on both fixed rigid platforms as well as on vehicle bucks, bodies in white, or full chasses.
